The Consumers Association of India based in Chennai, has been serving the interests of consumers for the past 15 years. As Director of Projects Swathy’s responsibilities include the overall management of projects, from design to analysis and report writing. She also oversees their campaign and advocacy work, leading seminars, fundraising activites and programmes to strengthen the organisation’s membership base. Swathy was instrumental in setting up a helpline centre that provides alternate dispute resolution to micro-finance consumers in Tamil Nadu, the first of its kind.
