Karine De Crescenzo holds a degree in political sciences, specialised in European affairs. She is the public affairs’ manager of the French consumer organisation UFC-Que Choisir, which represents the interests of consumers at national and European level. Founded in 1951, UFC-Que Choisir is Europe's oldest consumer association, fully independent from the state, companies, political parties and unions. The association includes 150 local affiliate associations located all over France, representing more than 146,000 members. UFC-Que Choisir is a founding member of BEUC at European level and member of Consumers International and works on a wide range of issues dealing with consumers’ rights in order to ensure that legislation evolves in a safer and more favorable way for consumers.
