Nathalie Homobono
Director General, Competition
Consumer Affairs and Prevention of Fraud (France)

Nathalie Homobono was appointed Director-General for Competition, Consumer Affairs, and Prevention of Fraud (DGCCRF – the French national consumer protection agency) by the French council of ministers in 2009. She is Chair of the OECD’s Committee on Consumer Policy and also chairs the international expert group working on the revision of the UN Guidelines for Consumer Protection under the UN Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD).

Her professional background is in industrial development, working at regional level in Directorates for Industry, Research & the Environment, and at national level as Assistant DG for Enterprise. She has a PhD in mathematics and computer science from the Ecole Normale Supérieure and qualified as general mining engineer from the School of Mines.
