Richard has worked in consumer policy for the last decade and currently leads Consumer International’s (CI) digital initiatives work - identifying the challenges and opportunities that consumers and organisations working in their interest face in the digital age. Prior to joining CI, Richard set up and led the Empowerment Programme at Consumer Focus in the UK – a pioneering team focused on harnessing the Internet and technology to support innovative new approaches to consumer empowerment. He has also led teams and projects promoting the consumer interest and user engagement in public services; and social responsibility in the energy market.
