In his roles as Secretary General and spokesman of the Sudanese Consumers Protection Society (SCPS), Yasir has been the public face of SCPS since 2009. The SCPS handles thousands of consumer complaints every year and has been a leading voice in educating the community on consumer protection issues in Sudan since 1998. Yasir is a member of Sudan’s National Consumers' Affairs Committee (COPOLCO) and the National Telecommunication Corporation’s Services and Complaints Committee. A pharmacist by profession, Yasir is a member of the Sudanese Pharmacists' Trade Union.
